In tribute to Brittany Murphy we show three of her hairstyles that she has worn through her years as a wonderful actress. She rocked all three hairstyles, a cute medium cut with the roots showing, a long curled hairstyle with brown hair color and bangs, and a rocking formal hairstyle with highlights.

Foxy Side Ponytail

The side ponytail is a beautiful option for women with long hair who do not want to go with the complicated updo and want more than just blown-out straight hair. Vivica A. Fox shows how the side ponytail can be used to create a gorgeous hair style worthy of any formal event. Her hair style does a great job with a center part with the front strands framing the front and top facial area. The longer locks are gathered at the nape and brushed to one side for that finishing touch. There are lots of ways to bundle the longer tresses and here it is slightly brushed with light curls. Awesome job to Vivica and her hair stylists.

Julie Benz Formal Hair

Julie Benz shows two formal hair styles here, one with a simpler ponytail approach and the other in a low chignon. Before looking at the hair styles, let’s look at her facial shape. Julie has a heart shaped face with sharp jaw lines. The width of her forehead is about the same as from her cheeks thus having a sweep across the face area is definitely a great styling feature which both hairstyles here have.

The first look is a simple hairstyle with a very strong parting and the brushed back in a round fashion and gathered at the lower back. The hair is then tied and gathered into a straight ponytail that can be swept to the side. It is simple but does a fantastic job at showing her facial features and beautiful hair color with highlights and lo-lites.

The second look does a little better job of producing an elegant appeal using the same strong parting and a swept portion across the facial area. The hair is brushed back and bundled in a tight bun at the nape of the neck. Comparing both hair styles, another key element to both is how the hair is brushed back to create that unique front view. Both hair styles look beautiful and Julie looks amazing.

Hayden Panettiere Formal Hairdos

Hayden Panettiere has made plenty of appearances with some gorgeous hairstyles and these two are no different. These two hairstyles show unique ways to wear the hair, either left long with curls or in an updo. The hairstyle above shows a classic hairstyle with an off-center part, lifted at the front, and infused with light, loose curls. This is definitely a great look for Hayden and plenty of women wear there hair like this as it is easier to create. The hardest part to create is the left at the front, which is where some hair paste can come in handy, TIGI recommended.

This looks is higher maintenance and will require a salon visit to get right. The hair is center-parted and pinned at the back with some strands left in the front for softening. The front locks have waves which is a must for a hair style like this. What is a little off with the looks is the flat appearance as we look down the center. A little lift from the roots can fix that but other than that the hairstyle is perfect for formal events.

Evangeline Lilly Emmy Hairstyle

After watching the Emmy’s, it was apparent that there were a lot of formal hairstyles out there, some way off the mark and some elegantly styled. Evangeline Lilly was part of the latter with this gorgeous formal hairstyle that women should mark down as an option for special occasions and parties. The hair is parted off-center with waxy texture that gently settles over the forehead and the locks are tied at the back in loose curls for a great finish. Two thumbs up to her stylist for a beautiful look.

Golden Globes – Hayden Hairstyles

The 2007 Golden Globes brought out some great looking hairstyles. Hayden Panettiere wore one of the best looking hairstyles with this half-updo. The front starts with a mid-part before going to a comb back. The front locks are split to both sides and are lightly curled. The hair is pinned at the back in sections and tied together almost like a ponytail and swept to one side. The long tresses are curled for an extra touch. This is definitely a red carpet ready hairstyle that many girls copy for prom and many women can copy for other occasions like weddings.

Tara’s New Do

Tara Reid seemed to have fallen of the Hollywood map but with a great hairstyle and look like this one, she can make a roaring come back. This hairstyle is perfect for Tara who needs a more classy, elegant look. She normally has straight hairstyles with little flair but this one uses light sweep of the bangs combined with big curls at the end of the locks to produce a radiant new image. Great work on the hairstyle Tara.
